Indie pop act M&M debuted with the release of digital single Fall Down in November 2010 and has since released three singles more. The latest came out on September 15 and is called Good Morning Good Night. In addition to the title track it also holds the song 손이 미끄러워.
Siam released first single Love Love Love in April 2010 and continued with another single the month after, but has since turned into an indie rock band. On September 22 digital single 바다는 눈물 was released.
Balladeer Jo Jeong Mo released his first digital single in 2009 and has since released both an album and a couple of singles more. The latest of the singles came out on September 20 and is called 비가 그친 뒤.

It's been a while since I last rounded up various links from around the web, but my Google Reader has been filling up with a bit too many starred items as of lately so since we're in a way on the subject of recommendations today anyway here's plenty of artist recommendations:
First out on the news side of things, it seems the new Milktea video was not only popular among friends of Indieful ROK as it has been gaining widespread popularity on Nate: Indie band Milk Tea reaches 1st on Nate video ranking for “Ramen King”
Alicia Buchanan of CNN Go has had a look at the 5 best indie rock bands in Hongdae deciding that they are Pink Elephant, The Pony, Seogyo Group Sound, The Black Skirts, and The Koxx.

Indie pop band Mighty Coala released digital single 밥 on September 23. It's a taste of what's to come on October 6, when the band's debut album 밝고 건강한 아침을 위하여 (For Bright And Healthy Mornings) gets a release. Get a feeling for the music of Mighty Coala through these old performances of album songs: 마이티 러브송; 고속도로; 열대야; 매일매일; 서울; 에이프릴. Some demo recordings, also including 도레미파 소녀의 피가 끓는다 are available on MySpace. And for something sweeter, check out this animation set to Let's Go to Turkey.
A new week is just about to begin. Here's a couple of the new releases we can look forward to:
September 28:
Swann, guitarist and main songwriter of experimental post-rock/electronic music band Yellow Kitchen, is about to release a solo album, Dispersion Temporelle. Split over an impressive 32 tracks the album offers "Ornamental Accessory Music for the Revenge of the Velvet Gentleman" and personally I'm more than just a little curious to hear what this could be.
September 29:
Time has come for electronic britpop stayle band Glen Check to follow up first EP Disco Elevator with new EP Au Revoir. Although with a mere to tracks you could easily argue that it's really a single - in addition to the title track the single also comes with a recording of 60's Cardin, previously released on the 2011 Jisan Valley Rock Festival compilation.
Grand Mint Festival tickets sold out weeks ago, but promotions continue as usual. Special this year is that GMB - or Grand Mint Band - has been formed to make the GMF2011 theme song. GMB gathers a number of musicians, including Daybreak guitarist Jung Yoo Jong, Serengeti, and Serengeti guitarist Jung Su Wan, and The Koxx guitarist Lee Soo Ryun. This year's theme song is called So Nice and a digital single with three versions of it was released on September 23.
In addition to GMB several artists more have participated, contribution with vocals for So Nice. There's Lee Han Choul, Daybreak vocalist Lee Won Suk, Monni vocalist Kim Sin Ui, deb, Yozoh, Peppertones, No Reply, and Dalmoon. Listen to the song while checking out the GMF2011 trailer. Simon D of hip hop super stars Supreme Team is about to release his first solo full length album, SNL League Begins. Stay Cool featuring Zion T was released as a digital single on September 21 and on September 28 the full album will be out. Following the 퍽이나 intro track where DJ Friz has been involved, the next item on the tracklist is a song called 에헤이 (Eh Hey) where none other than Bryan Cho, aka The Black Skirts, is featured.
Continuing on the borderline between indie and mainstream, Lady Jane released her third digital single, 짝, on September 23. It's a dance pop duett with Tony An of legendary k-pop boy band H.O.T.

Hi everyone, refresh_daemon here and it's now the seventh round of "I Am a Singer" (나는 가수다) and indie rock champions Jaurim managed to stay in the competition by blowing away the competition in the second part of the sixth round last week. Of course, a new round means that we have a new singer coming in, so the question arises: who is it? Perhaps another indie singer? Also as usual, the singers get to pick their own songs for the first part and I think Anna and I both found only half of this week's performances particularly notable.

The Finnn is set to return with the second full length album on October 4, title track 첼로. In preparation for the release, digital single 26 came out on September 19 and in addition to the title track being included on the album its B-side, 그대는 나의 별, will be featured as a bonus track. A remastered version of 물방울 속에 갇힌 바다 from the Greenplugged Omnibus Album, Sum∞ too will be a bonus track.

Street folk artist Neofolk released digital single 마녀 in 2007, and it appears he has now come back with a band called Coedwig. The band's first EP, 들어본 다음 말할게, was self-released on September 16 and includes an updated version of 마녀. Hyang Music offers a sampler track.

Long at last Sato Yukie's psychedelic rock band Kopchangjeongol returned with a new album, 나와 같이 춤추자, on August 26. Apparently the songs were recorded a few years back and written even longer ago, and the release is dedicated to the two former members that participated in the recordings but has since passed away. September 19:
After starting with three digital releases on August 8, S's Record now offers the same in CD format.
The first release from pop band Portmans is a single called 변하지 않아 / Five Girls, which in addition to 변하지않아 and Five Girls comes with a track called Spring come, Rain fell. Get a better look at the members of Portmans through this video.
Home recorded electronic dance music influenced by New Order, Pet Shop Boys and other 80s music as well as 90s j-pop is what is offered by Soo Eui Job, the solo project of Portmans keyboardist Lee Sang Soo. The first EP is simply called 수의잡 vol.1. Check out the music video for EP main track 물맛매니아 here.
Portmans guitarist Yoon Dal also has a solo project going, namely Leap month. The first mini album is called Miscasting and it has more of an indie rock sound than the music of Portmans. The mini album comes with a Leap month mix of Portmans song 변하지않아. Check out the music video for 눈빛 here.
September 21:
It looks like the fourth full length album from Humming Urban Stereo is coming up shortly, but first we're treated to digital single D.D.D. This time Lee Jeereen's other project, Instant Romantic Floor is featured, with rapper YeSlow having participated in the writing of the lyrics and together with Sugar Flow contributing with the vocal parts.
September 22:
Asian Beat is an amateur band competition arranged by Yamaha. Broken Valentine took home the price in the 2008/2009 competition and this year's 10 finalists in the Korea heat can soon be heard on the Asian Beat 2011 Korea Final compilation. See Daegu band Poly perform Run Away With Me here; get a taste of nu-metal band Crimson Butterfly Ensemble through this promotion video; and watch Quartz's Nothing But A Lie performance from the competition here.
Rock band Orange Plane released first digital single Go in January this year with digital single 유리병 following end of April. Now time has come to introduce seven new songs through the release of EP 현실적인 모험동화. Check out a year-old performance of EP closing track Ocean Flight here.
September 23:
With three years since the latest full length album, rock band Vanilla Unity is just about to reveal third full length album We Are Rising. It includes a remix version of last year's Hey Monster single as well as Be The One from the same release.
Hongdae based clothing brand Brownbreath is celebrating five years by releasing a compilation called Spread The Message on September 27. Among the many hip hop acts featured, including names such as The Quiett and Loptimist, there are also several tracks credited to nu-jazz DJ Demicat namely Invitation (with B-free), Crops of City (with Pento), and Inspired Words (with B-free). The full soundtrack for KBS2 drama The Princess' Man (공주의 남자) will be released on September 29, meaning that there'll soon be a chance to get Yi Sung Yol's 눈물꽃, released as a digital single last month, on CD.

Indie pop act Purple Sweet released her first EP, A Delight Travel, on September 15. For the recording she's been backed by Serengeti and keyboardist Choi Joo Young. Check out this EP sampler on YouTube. Hear what she sounded like when opening for girl rock band Nia here.
2Lson debuted with the release of single Hocus-Pocus end of February this year and followed up with the R&B flavored single Please Come Baby on August 18. On September 16 came indie pop single 버리러 가는 길 which in addition to the title track came with a guitar version of I'm Gonna Stick With You.
Ilac is back with another release under the moniker LaKinRad. On September 16 the debut EP was followed by digital single Waltz with you, holding only the song with the same name - 그대와 왈츠를.

refresh_daemon checking in again with another look at "I Am a Singer" ("나는 가수다"). The tension was high for the final episode of the sixth round of "I Am a Singer" (I've been mistakenly calling it the fifth round since I started writing this feature with Anna). This was because the results of this episode would weigh heavily in determining which of the singers would have to go home and the final result was rather shocking. But that wasn't the only surprising thing about this episode as resident self-deprecating falsetto-singing slow burn crooner Jo Kwanwoo debuts his first non-ballad on the show and three different singers find themselves ranked by the five hundred member audience in very different places than the previous round.
